Day 1: Hanoi – Ride to Ba Be National Park

Start your adventure by getting a friendly pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter around 8:00 AM. We'll head to our Vietnam Biker Mates Garage to help you choose your favorite bikes. Our goal is to steer clear of the busy city roads in the morning as we make our way to Cho Chu town in Thai Nguyen province for a delightful lunch break.

Post-lunch, get ready for a scenic motorcycle journey to Ba Be, where the roads are less crowded, offering breathtaking mountain views. By around 4 PM, we'll reach Pac Ngoi, a charming village of the Tay people nestled peacefully by the side of Ba Be lake. Join us for a delicious dinner and enjoy an overnight stay with a welcoming Tay family.

Day 2: Ba Be National Park – Ride to Meo Vac

Saying goodbye our friendly host as we embark on a motorbike adventure along backroads, weaving through rustic villages and the lush jungle. Our journey includes crossing streams, making it a fantastic day for off-road Vietnam motorbike touring. For lunch, we'll make a pit stop in Bao Lac town before continuing our scenic motorcycle tour through Northern Vietnam to Meo Vac.

Afternoon ride, we'll climb over several passes, treating ourselves to stunning views of mountain ranges and the serene Nho Que river. Expect to reach Meo Vac by around 5:00 PM, where we'll wrap up the day with a delicious dinner in town and settle in for a comfortable hotel stay.

Day 3: Meo Vac – Ride to Dong Van then Ha Giang

Get ready for the highlight of our North Vietnam motorcycle trip today! We're heading to one of the most remote and fascinating areas in Vietnam, where diverse ethnic groups showcase their unique cultures amidst breathtaking landscapes. Our route includes must-see attractions like Ma Pi Leng Pass, among the four longest and most beautiful passes in North Vietnam, the Rock Plateau, the historic Vuong Palace in Dong Van, and the enchanting "Heaven Gate" in Quan Ba.

We'll reach Ha Giang in the late afternoon, where the adventure continues with a delightful dinner and a stay with another welcoming Tay family.

Day 4: Ha Giang – Ride to Thac Ba lake

riders on border areasEnjoy your breakfast and bid farewell to our wonderful local host. Our another exciting day kicks off around 8:30 am, as we hop on our bikes to leave the town roads behind. Brace yourself for an exciting off-road adventure through charming villages, promising a ride filled with interesting sights.

Our midday break includes a lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll ride along a small road skirting Thac Ba lake, surrounded by palm trees and picturesque mountain views. As dusk settles in, we'll reach our cozy local homestay. Freshen up with a shower and get ready to have dinner.

Day 5: Thac Ba Lake – Ride back to Hanoi

After breakfast and warm goodbyes to our friendly host, we'll ride through Dzao villages, surrounded by palm trees and green tea farms. Today we can do some off-road fun, making it a highlight of the trip.

Following lunch in Doan Hung town, we'll enjoy a scenic motorbike ride along the Red River bank. As these rivers merge on their journey to Hanoi, we'll find ourselves in the heart of the Red River delta. Safely arriving in Hanoi before rush hour around 4 pm, we'll bid farewell to the Vietnam Biker Mates team and hop in a taxi back to your hotel.
